Restaurant Las Orquideas is located in El Remate, Peten. Angelo, the owner, is from Italy, and his customers say he makes the best homemade pasta in the world! The restaurant is located on the shores of Lake Peten Itza, and is open from Noon until 9:00 PM, except on Mondays.
I can tell you from lots of personal experience that Angelo's home-made pasta is superb! I especially love the panzarotti with his alfredo sauce.
